Bike Path Detour
The Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail/American River Bike Trail through Discovery Park will be closed for the Aftershock Music Festival from 12:00AM on Thursday, October 2nd until 5:00AM on Monday, October 6th, 2025.
Aftershock fans are encouraged to ride their bike to the show and to take advantage of our complimentary Bike Valet service, operated by Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates! Bike Valet corrals will be located on both the Garden Hwy and Jibboom St. sides of the festival grounds.
The bike path will be open for the duration of the build and tear down of the festival. Please follow detour signs through Discovery Park between the Jibboom Street and Natomas Park Drive bridges.
Route to the Jibboom Street bridge from Natomas Park Drive:
Turn LEFT from Natomas Park Dr. onto Garden Hwy.
Keep RIGHT onto the Arden Garden Connector and continue east.
Turn RIGHT on Northgate Blvd. and ENTER the Sacramento Northern Bikeway just past the N Sacramento Fwy underpass.
CONTINUE across Pipe’s Bridge over the American River.
MERGE RIGHT onto N 18th St.
Turn RIGHT on Thornton Ave.
Turn LEFT on N 16th St.
Turn RIGHT on N B St. to N 12th St.
Turn RIGHT on N 12th St. and veer left to Sunbeam Ave.
Turn RIGHT onto Richards Blvd.
Follow the path onto N 12th St. and join the Two Rivers Bike Trail on your left.
CONTINUE STRAIGHT on the Two Rivers Bike Trail on the south side of the American River to the Jibboom St. Bridge.
Route to Natomas Park Drive from the Jibboom Street Bridge:
CONTINUE straight on the Two Rivers Bike Trail on the south side of the American River to N 12th St.
TURN RIGHT at N 12th St. and follow the bike path to your right onto Richards Blvd.
TURN LEFT into the bike lane on Sunbeam Ave. and CONTINUE straight on N 12th St.
TURN LEFT onto N B St. to N 16th St.
TURN LEFT on N 16th St. to Thornton Ave.
TURN RIGHT onto Thornton Ave. to N 18th St.
TURN LEFT onto N 18th St. and MERGE RIGHT onto the Sacramento Northern Bikeway.
CONTINUE across Pipe’s Bridge over the American River.
EXIT the Sacramento Northern Bikeway at Northgate Blvd. and CONTINUE north to the Arden Garden Connector.
TURN LEFT to CONTINUE onto Garden Hwy to Natomas Park Dr.
